I’m sure many of you knew that already, but just in case, I figured I’d explain it.  My friend Karthis over at http://teethandclaws.blogspot.com told me the other night that one of the cool things about my site was that I had a different angle, and that angle was stories.

Truth be told, I love to write. I’ve written since I was a kid, and it has always been in my mind. In the past couple of years though, the passion kind of dwindled. Realizing that, I decided a couple of months ago to put an end to the draught of creativity that had been plaguing me.

You see, back in the days of Everquest, I was a very active member of a role playing guild on Tunare called “Ancienne Noblesse.”  While I was a member of that guild, I felt my creative juices bubbling every day. I would spend hours and hours writing about the adventures of my characters Motoko and Kaidako, seen below in a beautiful piece of art by my good friend Animeflux at http://animeflux.deviantart.com/Motoko and Kaidako

I was drawn to telling stories about these two women in ways that I had never before thought about. By the time I’d finished playing Everquest, I’d written over 200 pages of material on them. One day I hope that their stories will find a home somewhere, whether it be in the form of a website, book or comic.

Since then though, my passion for writing diminished. I came up with ideas, sure, but the actual desire to put them down on paper, or on my computer disappeared.

And that brings us to today. My stories about Jayne are very simple, rudimentary things that I hope will one day grow and be a bit more creative. Right now, I write for myself, my wife and a couple of people that know me.  That being said, it really surprised me the other day when someone came up to me online and said “What’s up Huntard?”

Two or three thoughts went through my head at once. The first was that this was a friend of mine, like Bocci or Karthis playing one of their alts and messing with me. Then, I thought it might just be someone trying to be insulting. I joke that like Randall in Clerks 2, I’m trying to take “Huntard” back. So, when someone that I know calls me a Huntard, I really do view it as a term of affection and take it as a compliment.

Imagine my surprise then, when I found out that the person was neither a close friend of mine in disguise, or someone trying to be insulting. Instead, this was someone who’d discovered my blog online and actually enjoyed it! Wow! I have a real, honest to goodness reader! I am not going to go as far as calling them a fan though. I’m not a celebrity, and I most certainly don’t have enough material on Jayne to warrant anything resembling a fanbase. But… a READER! How cool is that?

So now, with renewed vigor, I’ve decided to put more effort into this site. I’ve added the OOC page, where I will talk about WOW things that are going on, and I’ve decided to continue with my Diary of the Most Uber Huntard in the World.

I am not sure what creativity will strike me when. I may change the perspective of the story occassionally, taking it out of the first person narrative to the third person. I may introduce new ideas and new characters as I go along, and I hope to even bring in a couple of my friends’ characters to add to the mix. We’ll see.

Until then, this site is officially open for business and I love it. Thank you for stopping by and thank you for spending a few minutes of your day to take a peek at what is going on in Jaynekobb’s Most Uber world.

Happy Huntarding, and I’ll see you in Azeroth.
